Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna Hosts Second Faculty Development Program
Patna: The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) successfully conducted its second Faculty Development Program (FDP) from June 17-21. This program brought together academics from various disciplines to discuss Outcome Based Learning, Course Outcomes, Program Outcomes, and Program Educational Objectives.
The five-day workshop included three theory sessions and two hands-on sessions, providing participants with comprehensive insights and practical experience. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director of CIMP and Program Chair; Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Tiwari, Program Chair; and Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar, Program Chair. This was followed by an inaugural address from the Director of CIMP.
Prof. Santosh Kumar underscored the significance of Outcome Based Education in contemporary education. He elaborated on various learning levels using Bloom’s Anderson taxonomy. Prof. Ranjit Tiwari further explored the relationship between course outcomes and program outcomes, discussing both actual and expected attainment levels. Additionally, Prof. Kalyan Prasad Agrawal conducted a detailed hands-on session on CO-PO-PEO, focusing on preparation at both individual course and program levels.
The FDP saw participation from six attendees representing institutions such as VIT, IMI, Patliputra University, SMIT, AIIMS Deoghar, and AMITY University. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Santosh Kumar.
