Chhath Preparations: 109 Ghats and 45 Parks Equipped for Festivities in Patna
Patna: The District Administration of Patna is taking several steps to ensure that all necessary facilities are provided to Chhathvratis and devotees during Chhath Mahaparva. Efforts are being made to guarantee convenience and safety at various locations.
A total of 109 ghats along the Ganga River have been divided into 21 sectors, each managed by sector officers and police officers. The ghats are being prepared according to prescribed standards to ensure they are safe and accessible for devotees.
For those performing Chhath at home or in parks, the administration is arranging alternative facilities in 45 parks and 63 ponds. Key locations such as Kachhi Talab in Gardanibagh, Manikchand Talab in Anisabad, BSAP-5 pond, and Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park will be equipped with all necessary administrative support for the festival.
Additionally, the District Administration will provide holy Gangajal to families performing the rituals at home, on terraces, or in parks. The Gangajal will be delivered to apartments, societies, and colonies through tankers to ensure everyone has access to this essential resource for Chhath.
