Chief Minister Attends Ravana Vadh Ceremony at Gandhi Maidan, Patna
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar participated in the Shri Ramlila Mahotsav and Ravana Vadh Ceremony at Gandhi Maidan, Patna, as part of the Vijayadashami celebrations. The event, organized by the Shri Shri Dussehra Committee Trust, saw the burning of effigies of Kumbhakaran, Meghnad, and Ravana to symbolize the victory of good over evil.
During the event, the Chief Minister was welcomed with a memento, an angavastra, and a religious book by the organizers. He emphasized the importance of peace and harmony in the state while releasing a balloon. Following the formalities, he performed aarti of Shri Ram and Shri Laxman before the effigies were set ablaze.
Several prominent figures attended the ceremony, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, among others. Local officials and members of the Shri Shri Dussehra Committee Trust were also present.
