CIMP to Host Workshop to Drive Local Action on Global Sustainable Development Goals
Patna: The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) is set to host a one-day workshop titled “From Global Goals to Local Action: A Workshop for Bihar’s Sustainable Development” on Saturday. The event, organised under the State Support Mission (SSM) of NITI Aayog in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Development, Government of Bihar, will focus on translating global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into actionable solutions tailored to Bihar’s specific needs.
The workshop aims to bridge the gap between international aspirations for sustainable development and local challenges, offering a platform for experts, policymakers, academics, and civil society representatives to collaborate. Discussions will target Bihar’s key developmental areas, such as health, education, infrastructure, and climate resilience, with an emphasis on innovative, context-sensitive strategies.
A highlight of the event will be a roundtable discussion titled “Collaboration and Partnership for Sustainable Development”, designed to foster multi-stakeholder partnerships that can accelerate SDG implementation in the state. Participants will explore ways to localise SDGs, aligning them with Bihar’s developmental priorities and socio-economic context.
Open to representatives from government, academia, the private sector, and civil society, the workshop seeks to build partnerships and drive collaborative efforts for the state’s sustainable future. Organisers hope the event will serve as a catalyst for transformative action, enabling Bihar to make significant strides in achieving its sustainable development objectives.
