CM Nitish Inaugurates Bapu Tower in Patna on Gandhi Jayanti

Patna: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Bapu Tower in Patna. A website dedicated to the tower was also launched during the event. Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Minister Lesy Singh were present for the inauguration, with the tower illuminated in colorful lights and security arrangements in place.
Constructed at a cost of Rs 129 crore, the Bapu Tower was built on 7 acres of land. It consists of two buildings – a six-storey rectangular building and a five-storey circular one. The foundation stone for the tower was laid on 2 October 2018, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
A Bapu Tower Committee has been established under the Building Construction Department, headed by the Development Commissioner. Members include officials from various departments, with the Director of Bapu Tower serving as the Member Secretary.
