Patna: In a big step to improve health services in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave appointment letters to 7,468 newly appointed female health workers on Monday. The event took place at ‘Samvad’ inside the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Patna. On this occasion, the Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to five women — Mona Kumari, Neelu Kumari, Amrita Kumari, Priya Sinha and Reema Kumari — as a symbol of the larger recruitment drive.
Nitish Kumar congratulated all the new Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and asked them to work with honesty and dedication. He said he believes that the new health workers will do their job sincerely and help people get better health services, especially in villages and far-off areas where medical help is often missing.
Senior leaders like Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Health Minister Mangal Pandey and other top officials were also present at the event. Development Commissioner Pratyaya Amrit welcomed the Chief Minister with a green plant as a sign of growth and good health for all.
With this big recruitment, Bihar hopes to fill the shortage of health workers in rural areas. These new ANMs will help with mother and child care, vaccinations and basic health services. The government says this will make it easier for poor families to get medical help close to their homes.
