Cooch Behar Trophy: Bihar Struggles in Second Innings Against Jharkhand

Patna: In the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy match at Moinul Haque Stadium, Bihar found itself in trouble after losing five wickets for 80 runs in their second innings at the end of the second day’s play. Jharkhand had earlier secured a 35-run lead by scoring 189 in their first innings, in reply to Bihar’s 154.
Jharkhand, resuming from their overnight score of 56 for two, was dismantled by Bihar’s Aditya Raj, who took five wickets. Key contributions for Jharkhand came from Krish Sharma with 74 runs, Sentu Yadav with 40, and Ayush Kumar with 33. However, the rest of the batting lineup faltered, with five players failing to score. Satyam Kumar picked up two wickets, while Suman Kumar and Aarav Jha claimed one wicket each for Bihar.
In their second innings, Bihar’s batting lineup struggled again. Ayush Raj scored 13, Anubhav Singh added 17, Taufiq made 5, and Prithvi Raj managed 13. Mohd Alam was dismissed for a duck. By stumps, Dipesh Gupta remained unbeaten on 20, while Gautam Kumar was on 3.
Jharkhand’s Ishan Om proved to be the main threat, claiming four wickets while Tanish chipped in with one. Bihar will look to recover and set a competitive target on the third day.
