Crocodile Spotted on Road in Motihari Village, Causes Panic Among Locals
Motihari: A crocodile was spotted on the road in Jeetwarpur village, Pipra Panchayat, Areraj block, sparking fear among the villagers. The sighting caused panic, and residents quickly locked their children inside their homes for safety. Villagers kept a close watch on the crocodile while informing the forest department.
The reptile was first noticed near cattle tied with a rope, which led to a commotion as villagers tried to drive it away. A large crowd followed the crocodile as it moved through the area, creating chaos in its wake.
Locals believe the crocodile came from the nearby Gandak River, which is about one kilometer away. It is suspected that the animal entered the residential area after being displaced by floods, likely in search of food. The forest department has been notified and is expected to take action.
