Begusarai: A minor girl was raped at a fair in Chakia police station area. The accused, Anant Kumar alias Tomato, was arrested by the police on Sunday. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the girl had gone to see the fair with her family. She went missing and was later found unconscious near a chimney.
The accused, who has a criminal history, lured the girl with sweets and took her to a secluded area. He was identified by the victim’s elder sister. Police formed a team and arrested the accused after a thorough investigation.
The girl was admitted to Sadar Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. The accused has been charged with rape and is in police custody. The police is continuing its investigation into the matter.
