Dalai Lama Set to Enlighten Bodh Gaya

Gaya: In the second week of December, Tibetan Spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit Bodh Gaya, participating in the International Sangha Forum’s program. The program in Bodh Gaya for Dalai Lama is scheduled after December 15.

Participation in the International Sangha Forum’s Program

During his Bodh Gaya visit, he will join a three-day program organized by the International Sangha Forum at the Mahabodhi Cultural Centre on December 20, accompanied by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Subsequently, on December 23, he will perform prayers at the Mahabodhi Temple, marking the conclusion of the three-day program organized by the forum.

From December 29 to 31, Dalai Lama will give teachings at the Kalachakra ground at Bodh Gaya. Followers from various countries around the world are expected to come to Bodh Gaya to listen to his teachings. Devotees will offer special prayers for the long life of Dalai Lama on January 1, 2024.

Preparations for the Spiritual Leader’s Sermon Begin

During Dalai Lama’s Bodh Gaya visit, he stays at the ancient Tibetan Temple. The area around the ancient Tibetan Temple and nearby regions undergo heightened security arrangements during his stay. The Tibetan Temple management has begun preparations for the spiritual leader’s sermon.

What did the Temple Administrator say?

Work has started from the main entrance of the temple to painting and decoration. Lama Amjee, the temple administrator, mentioned that, as before, during the teaching sessions, distribution of salt and sweet tea along with Falgap – a thick bread made of wheat flour – will be done among the devotees. A tent near the Tibetan Dharamshala will be constructed for making tea and Falgap.
