Darbhanga-Anand Vihar Via Ayodhya Amrit Bharat Express Flagged off by PM Modi
AYODHYA/DARBHANGA – In a significant development for rail connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express on Saturday, initiating its journey from Ayodhya to Delhi at 12:12. The departure included one Vande Bharat and one Amrit Bharat from Ayodhya, with the remaining five Vande Bharat and one Amrit Bharat departing from other stations.
Amrit Bharat Express embarked on its journey from Ayodhya to Darbhanga, while the Vande Bharat train set its course from Ayodhya to Delhi. During the departure, PM Modi interacted with passengers and schoolchildren aboard the Amrit Bharat train. Notably, some women on the train presented handmade gifts to the Prime Minister.
The Railways has released the timetable for Amrit Bharat, specifying a 5-minute stop in Ayodhya and Lucknow. The 15557 Amrit Bharat Express, running from Darbhanga to Anand Vihar, is scheduled to depart at 3 pm, reaching Ayodhya Dham at 02:30 am. After a brief stop, it will continue its journey, passing through Charbagh railway station at 05:05 am and reaching Anand Vihar Terminal at 12:35 pm via Kanpur Central, Etawah, Tundla, and Aligarh Junction.
For the return journey, the 15558 Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 03:10 pm, reaching Charbagh railway station at 10:10 pm, Ayodhya Dham at 01:10 pm, and finally Darbhanga station at 11:50 am. The train will also make stops at Janakpur Road, Sitamarhi, Bairagnia, Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Bagha, Kaptanganj, Gorakhpur, Basti, and Mankapur stations.
The fare for Amrit Bharat Express, connecting Darbhanga to Ayodhya, has been set at Rs. 200 for the general class and Rs. 350 for the sleeper class. The fare is determined on a kilometer basis, with the fare for the journey from Darbhanga to Ayodhya being Rs. 200 for the general class and Rs. 350 for the sleeper class.
The Railway Board has released a detailed fare chart, considering distance-based fare for the push-pull and LHB coaches of the train. This fare chart ranges from Rs. 35 for up to 15 kilometers to Rs. 314 for one thousand kilometers in the general category, and Rs. 46 to Rs. 528 in the sleeper category.
This new rail connectivity initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing transportation options and connectivity in the region.
