Daylight Firing Incident Shocks Exhibition Road in Patna

Patna: A shocking incident of daylight firing took place near Hari Complex on Exhibition Road in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan police station area. The attack targeted Rajesh Patel, an employee at BK Engineering shop, who was sitting in the store when a group of around 12 assailants arrived and opened fire. One round was discharged before the attackers fled the scene.

Police officials from Gandhi Maidan police station quickly arrived at the location and launched an investigation. Patel has since been taken to the police station for further questioning.

Manmeet Singh, the owner of BK Engineering shop, reported that his staff member Ashok was present at the store while he was overseeing shutter repairs nearby. According to Singh, a group of 10 to 12 individuals attempted to abduct his staff.

Eyewitnesses stated that the assailants were attempting to forcibly take away Ashok and Sonu Kumar, an employee of Baba Lubricants. However, as a crowd started gathering, the attackers fired a round and fled the scene.

Local shopkeepers suspect that the attack may be linked to an altercation that took place the previous night while businesses were closing. Authorities are investigating whether the incident was an act of retaliation.
