Patna robbery Rs 7 lakh

Patna: In a daring daylight robbery, two bike-borne miscreants shot a man and looted Rs 7 lakh on NH 30 in the Bypass police station area of Patna. The incident occurred near the Mahindra showroom when the victim, Deepak (40), was on his way back after collecting money for private companies on Friday afternoon.

Deepak recounted that as he approached the showroom, two of the six criminals, who were waiting on both sides of the road, signaled him to stop his bike by brandishing pistols. When Deepak attempted to flee, the criminals on another bike overtook him, forcing him to stop. They then demanded he hand over the bag of money or they would “open his head.”

Despite their threats, Deepak hesitated, leading one of the miscreants to shoot him in the right shoulder. Deepak, soaked in blood, managed to tie a towel (Gamchha) around his wound and, with the help of a friend, reached the NMCH (Nalanda Medical College and Hospital) for treatment.

According to Deepak, the criminals fled the spot with the bag of money after firing a second shot. Local residents assisted Deepak off the road before he was transported to the hospital.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dr. Gaurav Kumar stated that CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, and raids are being conducted to apprehend the culprits. Bypass Sub-Inspector Sunil Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
