Dry Weather to Persist in Bihar for 7 Days Amid Cyclone Fengal Updates
Patna: The impact of Cyclone Fengal, forming over the Bay of Bengal, is not expected to affect Bihar, according to Ashish Kumar, senior scientist at the Patna Meteorological Center. He reassured residents that the state’s weather would remain dry over the next seven days, with some areas experiencing foggy conditions.
Ashish Kumar explained that Cyclone Fengal is currently classified as a deep depression and has not yet developed into a full cyclone. While there is potential for it to intensify, its impact will likely be limited to coastal regions in southern India, including Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, where heavy rains, strong winds, and a temperature drop are anticipated.
The meteorologist emphasised that timely updates and alerts will be issued if the situation changes. He urged residents to stay calm and confirmed that Bihar’s weather is expected to remain unaffected by the cyclone.
While mild fog may occur in certain areas, overall weather conditions in the state are forecasted to remain stable and dry throughout the week. The department remains vigilant and prepared to communicate any significant developments.
