East Central Railway General Manager Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Barkakana-Shivpur-Tori-Garhwa Road Railway Section

Hajipur, 5th November 2023: Anil Kumar Khandelwal, the General Manager of East Central Railway (ECR), led a thorough inspection of the Barkakana-Shivpur-Tori-Garhwa Road railway section on 5th November 2023. The inspection encompassed an evaluation of the railway track, maintenance procedures, and various aspects related to railway safety. Additionally, the General Manager scrutinized the stations and coal sidings situated along this crucial railway section.

The inspection commenced with a visit to Khalari station, where the General Manager meticulously assessed safety measures, security protocols, passenger facilities, and overall cleanliness standards. Subsequently, attention was directed to the Kusamahi Coal Siding, where discussions with officials revolved around infrastructure development and potential expansion of the coal siding.

Moving along the Tori-Shivpur railway section, the General Manager inspected Balumath coal siding, followed by visits to Bukru, Phulbasia, and Tori Coal Siding. Engaging in discussions with officials from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), the General Manager explored opportunities for expanding the siding and augmenting coal loading capacities.

The examination extended to passenger facilities and cleanliness standards at Mahua Milan and Tori stations. The General Manager, thorough in his evaluation, also assessed the staff quarters for railway employees at Tori. An inspection of the running room at Tori station provided insights into the facilities available for the resting running staff, with the General Manager engaging in conversations with the personnel.

Throughout the inspection, the General Manager was accompanied by the Head of the Department of Headquarters, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction/South, officials from RVNL, and Divisional Railway Manager of Dhanbad Division, Kamal Kishore Sinha, among other officials.
