Education Department Urges Weekly School Inspections to Improve Ranking in Patna
Patna: The Patna District Education Office (DEO) has directed inspecting officers to visit each school at least once a week, aiming to boost the district’s educational ranking. DEO Sanjay Kumar expressed disappointment, noting that many officers have not been fulfilling their duties, resulting in Patna’s lagging performance compared to other Bihar districts.
After each school inspection, officers are required to upload their reports to the e-Shiksha Kosh portal the same day. DEO Kumar emphasized the importance of identifying and addressing deficiencies on time. He clarified that issues that cannot be resolved by the inspectors will be escalated to senior officers for timely execution.
District Program Officers have also been instructed to create a monthly tour plan covering all working days, ensuring thorough school inspections and office meetings. These meetings will oversee various educational schemes and establish monthly goals to help elevate Patna’s ranking.
This initiative aims to ensure systematic inspections and prompt reporting, fostering improved accountability and performance within the district’s education system.
