Patna: A fire broke out at Siddhnath Apartment in Patna’s Bahadurpur area on Monday afternoon, engulfing at least three flats and sparking panic among residents. The blaze was brought under control after hours of firefighting, with no injuries or fatalities reported.

The incident occurred on the upper floors of the residential building, located under the jurisdiction of Bahadurpur police station. Eyewitnesses said thick smoke and flames were first seen in a flat on the fifth floor, prompting residents from neighbouring flats to evacuate swiftly via staircases.

Firefighters from Kankarbagh and Patna City Fire Station were dispatched to the scene and managed to contain the fire after an extended operation. According to officials, initial assessments suggest the blaze may have been triggered by a short circuit. However, some residents claimed it was caused by an LPG cylinder leak during cooking.

Patna police said an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause. While several household items were destroyed in the fire, authorities confirmed that all residents were safely evacuated and no casualties occurred.
