FIRs filed as fake certificates uncovered during Bihar Technical Service Commission verification
Patna: The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) initiated a two-day document verification process on November 29 for candidates seeking appointment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) under advertisement number- 01/2019, following a Supreme Court directive.
On the first day of verification, eight candidates were found to have submitted fake, falsified, or tampered certificates and mark sheets. An FIR was promptly lodged against them at Secretariat Police Station in Patna, and they were handed over to law enforcement authorities for further action in accordance with the law.
In addition to the eight cases of forgery, several candidates admitted to possessing fake certificates and withdrew their candidature by submitting written declarations. These individuals were allowed to leave the verification site without completing the process.
The BTSC continues its verification program with heightened scrutiny, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and fairness in recruitment. The commission has assured that strict action will be taken against those attempting to undermine the integrity of the selection process.
