Former Bihar Chief Secretary Amir Subhani Marries Again

Patna: Amir Subhani, 63, former Chief Secretary of Bihar and current Chairman of the Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission, has remarried. A reception, a Dawat-e-Walima, was held at Hotel Patliputra Continental in Anisabad on Wednesday evening, with a select guest list.
This is Subhani’s second marriage, following the passing of his first wife, Dr. Sadika Yasmin, in 2022. Dr. Yasmin, 45, died after a fall from the stairs. Subhani has a son and a daughter from his previous marriage, and his remarriage is said to have occurred with their consent.
Born in 1962 in the Siwan district of Bihar, Amir Subhani began his education in Bahuara village, completing his schooling in Siwan and later pursuing higher studies in Patna. Known for his academic excellence, Subhani cleared the UPSC examination in 1987 on his third attempt.
Throughout his career, he served as District Magistrate in several districts and held the position of Home Secretary. Following his retirement, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission.
