Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday conducted an on-ground review of three major infrastructure projects in the Patna region, including the Mithapur–Mahuli four-lane elevated road, the Zeromile–Masaurhi (SH-4) road, and the Patliputra Bus Terminal.
Beginning his inspection at the Mithapur flyover roundabout and Parsa Bazar, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of the Mithapur–Mahuli elevated corridor, emphasising that once completed, the road would significantly ease traffic congestion on the New Bypass and surrounding areas. “This road will bring great relief to commuters by reducing travel time and ensuring smoother traffic flow,” he said.
However, during the subsequent visit to the under-construction Zeromile–Masaurhi section of State Highway-4, the CM expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of work and directed officials to take immediate corrective action. “The road must be completed at a faster pace so that the public can benefit without further delay,” he said, issuing clear instructions for acceleration of the project.
At the Patliputra Bus Terminal, the Chief Minister reviewed passenger amenities and instructed officials to ensure proper infrastructure and facilities are in place to cater to increasing footfall.
He was accompanied by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Secretary Kumar Ravi, Commissioner of Patna Division Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, MD of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Shirshat Kapil Ashok, MD of BUIDCO Animesh Parashar, Patna District Magistrate Dr Thiyagarajan S.M., SSP Avkash Kumar and other senior officials.
