Fresher’s Day Programme Kicks Off at Patna Women’s College with Enthusiastic Participation
Patna: Patna Women’s College (PWC) commenced its vibrant three-day Fresher’s Day Programme on Monday. The opening day witnessed active participation from various departments, including Chemistry, Zoology (UG & PG), MSW, Physics (UG & PG), CEMS, BCA, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Biotechnology (PG), MCA, and PGDCA. The event highlighted the exceptional talents of the students, making it a memorable celebration.
Members of the Cultural Committee, including Manisha Prasad, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Enakshi Dey Biswas, Amrita Prakash, Puja Kumari, Dr. Jaya Philip, Sister Nelsa A.C., Adweetiya Sinha, Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Dr. Vinita Priyedarshi, Sister Anna A.C., Dr. Prabhat Jha, and Dr. Priyanka, were present in the respective departments to oversee the day’s proceedings.
The newly enrolled students showcased their diverse talents through song performances, dance routines, and poetry recitations. This year, the event featured a special “Miss Fresher’s” contest, where one student from each department was selected as Miss Fresher’s by a panel of judges. The winners included Sonam Kumari (MCA PGDCA), Sumaiyah Khan (BCA), Anushka (Chemistry), Aashi Sinha (Physics), Beauty Keshri (Zoology), Sujata (MSW), Siddhi (CEMS), Anjali Kumari (Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit), and Mariyum Mumtaz (Biotechnology).
The event concluded with heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the students towards Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal of(PWC), and Dr. Sister M Tanisha A.C., Vice-Principal, for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout the programme.
