Gangrape of Woman Reported in Patna’s Bikram Area; One Accused Identified
Patna: A shocking incident of gangrape has been reported in the Bikram police station area of Patna district. Four youths allegedly abducted a woman working in a field near Navodaya Vidyalaya on Wednesday afternoon and assaulted her in a nearby garden. The victim has lodged a written complaint at the police station.
According to the victim’s statement, the incident occurred around 12:30 pm when the youths forcibly dragged her to the garden. Despite her attempts to call for help, no one heard her cries. She stated that she could identify one of the accused, a resident of Bikram, and can recognize the other three if seen again. She also mentioned that some laborers had been nearby shortly before the attack but were out of earshot during the incident.
Bikram police station in-charge Deepak Kumar confirmed that an FIR has been filed based on the victim’s account, and she has undergone a medical examination. Evidence has been collected from the scene, and the police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused.
Authorities have assured swift action in the case and are working to ensure the culprits are arrested soon.
