Vaibhav, hailing from Samastipur, Bihar, has rapidly risen through the ranks of Indian cricket. In the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), he made headlines by becoming the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket history, scoring 101 runs off just 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans. His debut season saw him amass 252 runs in seven matches at a striking rate of 206.56, including 18 fours and 24 sixes.
Beyond the IPL, Vaibhav’s cricketing journey includes a first-class debut for Bihar at the age of 12 years and 284 days during the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season. He has also been selected for India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming tour of England, scheduled to begin on June 24, where the team will play a series of Youth One Day Internationals and Test matches.
Vaibhav’s rapid ascent in the cricketing world has garnered attention from fans and experts alike, with his coach predicting that he could represent the senior Indian team within the next two years.
