
Patna: The National Institute of Technology Patna hosted a major international conference with the successful organisation of the 1st International Conference on Recent Innovations and Trends in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Computing (RITEEC 2025), held on May 22–23. The event was led by Prof P. K. Jain, Director, and coordinated by the Department of Electrical Engineering.
The inaugural ceremony featured Prof N. P. Padhy, Director of MNIT Jaipur, as Chief Guest, and Prof Raj Senani, Honorary Professor at NSUT Delhi, as Guest of Honour. Both delivered thought-provoking plenary talks following the inauguration.
Prof Padhy highlighted the critical need for technological innovation in India’s power sector and presented strategies to align engineering advancements with the national objective of Atma Nirbhar Bharat, in line with Vision 2047.
Prof Jain welcomed all participants and acknowledged the contributions of speakers and delegates from across the world. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the RITEEC 2025 organising committee and the Department of Electrical Engineering for their tireless efforts in making the event a success.
On Day 2, Prof Shantanu Kumar Mishra from IIT Delhi delivered a keynote address on the challenges and future of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The conference concluded with a valedictory talk by Dr Sanjay Yadav, Chief Scientist at NPL Delhi, who spoke on the importance of linking national and international quality infrastructure networks for effective nation building.
The conference received 657 paper submissions. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 148 papers were selected for presentation. These included 4 papers by international contributors, 6 from IITs, 30 from NITs, and the remaining from CFTIs, government institutions, and other leading universities.
