Grand Welcome for Balaji Idol in Gopalganj Ahead of Hanuman Katha

Bhorey/ Patna : Gopalganj witnessed a grand reception on Tuesday as the idol of Balaji arrived in Ramnagar from Bageshwar Dham ahead of the much-anticipated Hanuman Katha by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, set to begin on March 6 at Ram Janaki Math.

 

Traditional Rituals and Ceremonies

The idol, which is customarily sent to the event location in advance, was greeted with great reverence upon its arrival. Mahant Hemkant Sharan Devacharya Ji Maharaj, along with a group of sadhus, conducted aarti before ceremoniously placing the idol inside the Math premises. Devotees believe that the presence of Balaji enhances the spiritual significance of the event, with many anticipating divine blessings at the Divya Darbar.

 

Security Tightened, Authorities on High Alert

A team from Bageshwar Dham has also reached the site to oversee stage, lighting, and sound arrangements. To ensure safety, authorities have deployed a heavy security presence. District Magistrate Prashant Kumar CH and Superintendent of Police Awadhesh Dixit have inspected the Yagya site, while intelligence agencies remain on high alert.

 

Traffic Diversions in Place from March 6–10

In anticipation of large crowds, authorities have imposed traffic restrictions on the Bhore-Mirganj main road from March 6 to March 10. Alternative routes have been designated for vehicles traveling to and from Gopalganj.

 

Meanwhile, designated parking zones have been established for devotees, with Lakhraon Bagh allocated for buses and Radhaganj for vehicles arriving from Mirganj. Four-wheelers will be prohibited from Radhaganj and Lakhraon Bagh to manage congestion.

 

With meticulous preparations and an air of religious fervor, Ramnagar is set to host thousands of devotees for the Hanuman Katha, an event expected to draw people from across the region.
