HCLTech Unveils Global Delivery Centre in Patna to Boost IT and Engineering Services

Patna: HCLTech, a prominent global technology firm, has inaugurated its new global delivery centre in Patna, aimed at enhancing IT and engineering services for high-tech and semiconductor industries.

The launch ceremony was graced by Bihar’s Industry Minister, Nitish Mishra, and Information Technology Minister, Santosh Kumar Suman. Also in attendance were Sandeep Poundrik, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries, and Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department of Information Technology. Key HCLTech representatives included Chief Financial Officer Prateek Aggarwal and COO Rahul Singh.

Marking its first foray into Bihar, HCLTech’s new centre will soon incorporate specialized labs and centres of excellence to drive technological innovation. It is expected to deliver a broad spectrum of services to clients worldwide.

Located within the Udyog Bhawan Complex, the Patna facility aligns with HCLTech’s New Vistas program, which aims to tap into quality talent across India. The centre promises modern workspaces, training, and growth opportunities for employees, while contributing to the development of the local technology ecosystem.

Minister Nitish Mishra welcomed the initiative, stating, “I am happy that HCLTech is launching a new office in Patna. This will bring positive changes to the IT sector of Bihar, increase employment opportunities, and inspire other IT companies to invest in Bihar.”

Prateek Aggarwal, CFO of HCLTech, expressed enthusiasm about the new centre’s potential. “We are delighted to launch our latest global delivery centre in Patna. Bihar has immense potential in terms of the availability of quality talent, and the centre will contribute to HCLTech’s objective of being the preferred digital transformation partner to global enterprises,” he said. “The centre will also contribute to the development of the local technology ecosystem and bring opportunities for local youth,” he added.
