Patna: A female constable serving with the Patna Police, identified as Sunita Kumari from the 2018 batch, has tragically died by suicide. Her body was discovered in her rented accommodation near Lodipur Police Line, under the Gandhi Maidan police station area.
Sunita Kumari, a resident of Akbarpur Baksanda in Nawada district, was married, and her husband also serves as a police constable. Police were alerted to the incident today and have launched an investigation.
SHO Rajesh Kumar stated that the family members have not yet arrived in Patna. “The deceased was a resident of Nawada. A woman officer has gone for investigation. It is not known since when she was living here in Patna. The police got the information today,” he said.
Authorities are currently awaiting the arrival of her family to gather more information. As of now, no suicide note has been recovered from the scene, according to the police. Further action in the case will be taken once the family provides their statement. Sunita Kumari’s body remains at her rented house as the investigation proceeds.
