Idea Kumbh 1.0 at Patna Women’s College Showcases Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Patna: Patna Women’s College successfully organized Idea Kumbh 1.0 on March 26, bringing together students, academicians, and industry leaders to promote innovation and entrepreneurship under the vision of Viksit Bharat. The event was inaugurated by Vijoy Prakash, Chairman cum CEO of AIC Bihar Vidyapeeth, along with Nitin Kumar Puri, Executive Director of NIELIT Patna, as the Guest of Honour. Principal Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. welcomed the dignitaries and participants, highlighting the institution’s commitment to fostering young innovators and strengthening academia-industry collaboration.
A key highlight was the panel discussion on ‘Government Schemes and Entrepreneurial Development,’ featuring experts like Sunil Kumar, Professor of Practice at CIMP and former CGM of NABARD Patna; Jyoti Kumari, Assistant Director, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar; Piyush Pandey, CTO of InternNexus; and Alok John, Dean of National & International Collaborations at Patna Women’s College. The discussion provided valuable insights into government initiatives and opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The Pitch Deck Competition saw teams like Rolex, Waterwise Tech, Tech Titans, Jugaad Bazar, and MARF present their business ideas before a distinguished jury. The panel included Pramod Karn, COO of AIC Bihar Vidyapeeth Foundation; Bibhuti Bikramaditya, Director of Smartway Electronics Pvt. Ltd. and Incubation Centre, IIT Patna; and Richa Vatsyayan, Director and Founder of Sanitrust Biodegradable Sanitary Pads.
Carebotics from A.N. College, Patna, won the first prize of Rs. 10,000, while Jugaad Bazar from Patna Women’s College secured the second prize of Rs. 8,000. Tech Titans from Patna Women’s College claimed the third prize of Rs. 5,000. The awards were presented by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean of Information Technology, with support from faculty members.
Sponsored by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, and Bihar Council on Science and Technology under the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education, the event reaffirmed Patna Women’s College’s role in fostering an innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem.
