IIM Bodh Gaya Hosts Faculty Development Programme to Foster Future Leadership

Bodhgaya: IIM Bodh Gaya recently conducted a five-day Residential Faculty Development Programme titled “Nurturing Future Leadership” under the “Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme” by the Department of Education, Government of India. The programme, which ran from June 10 to June 14, gathered esteemed faculty members from various disciplines to explore the essential aspects of developing future leaders.

The event saw the participation of 30 senior faculty members from approximately 20 central and state universities, as well as institutions such as IIMs, IITs, and NITs. The Nurturing Future Leadership Programme (NFLP) was meticulously designed to equip faculty with the skills and competencies needed for current and future leadership roles within higher education institutions. The curriculum focused on enhancing technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills vital for effective leadership and shaping the educational landscape for future generations.

Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, expressed her enthusiasm for the programme’s success. She stated, “The Residential FDP on ‘Nurturing Future Leadership’ was an enriching experience for all involved. As educators, it is imperative that we equip ourselves with the tools and knowledge to nurture the next generation of leaders. I am confident that the insights gained during this programme will empower faculty members to inspire and guide students and their respective institutions in realising their full leadership potential.”

Dr. Sahay also emphasised the institute’s distinguished contribution as one of the premier management institutions in the country. The programme aimed to foster a better learning environment and enhance the essential skills of attendees, thereby shaping the upcoming generations and transforming the academic landscape in India.
