IIT Patna hosted a forward-looking industry talk on April 19, spotlighting how AI and AgentForce are driving intelligent automation in the Salesforce and MuleSoft ecosystem, with projections of 1.3 million new jobs in India by 2026.

Patna: The Centre for Career Development and Counselling (CCDC) at IIT Patna held an engaging industry talk on Saturday, focusing on the transformative role of artificial intelligence and AgentForce in the Salesforce and MuleSoft ecosystem—a field rapidly reshaping global technology careers.

The session brought together students from diverse academic backgrounds to delve into the emerging trends of digital transformation, cloud integration, and intelligent automation. Industry leaders Amit Mohan, Digital Solution Director at NTT Data, and Om Prakash, Founder and CEO of Appy Crown, shared in-depth insights into the growing significance of API integration and AI-powered agent frameworks.

Welcoming the attendees, Training and Placement Officer Kripa Shankar Singh outlined the event’s agenda, while Dr Rishav Singh, Associate Chair of CCDC, presented mementos to the guest speakers. The Associate Dean (Resource) commended the session’s outcomes and praised its relevance in bridging academic learning with industry expectations.

Key topics covered included an introduction to the Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms, career pathways in API integration, demonstrations of AI agents and AgentForce, and real-world case studies of intelligent automation within digital enterprises.

Om Prakash highlighted the immense scope of the Salesforce ecosystem in India, noting that approximately 2 million professionals are already working across roles such as administrators, developers, consultants, and architects. He projected that the Salesforce economy is expected to generate 1.3 million new jobs in India by 2026, offering vast opportunities for students and early-career professionals.

An interactive Q&A session followed the talks, allowing students to directly engage with the speakers, seek career guidance, and explore the potential of AI-integrated platforms in shaping the future of enterprise technology.
