Patna: A shocking case of gang rape involving a 15-year-old girl has come to light in Patna, leading to the arrest of four minors, all reportedly students in the 8th and 10th grades. The victim claims the assault occurred on Tuesday in a hotel, while the accused allege the incident took place about a month ago. The victim is also reported to be pregnant.

The case reached the police on Tuesday when the victim, accompanied by her family, filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station. “Four boys took me to a hotel in Kotwali area. They raped me there. After leaving the hotel, I informed my family about this. Then we approached the police,” the victim stated.

Initial interrogation of the arrested minors revealed that one of the boys had befriended the victim through Instagram, and their acquaintance gradually developed into a romantic relationship. This boy then introduced her to his friend group, leading to increased closeness. According to the accused, about a month ago, the girl met her alleged boyfriend in the Deepnagar area, where they reportedly engaged in physical relations. Following this, the girl went to a hotel near the bypass with three other boys from the group, where she was allegedly gang-raped in turns.

Currently, female police personnel Shobha Kumari and ASI Rajiv Ranjan from Kotwali police station have taken the victim to court to record her statement.

She then went to the Jakkanpur police station, where again, the case was not registered. After wandering all day, she finally reached the Kotwali police station in the evening, where her information led to the case being formally filed.
