Patna: IRCTC will launch the Bharat Gaurav pilgrimage train from May 31, offering a 13-day journey to some of India’s most revered Jyotirlinga shrines. Departing from Dhanbad, the spiritual rail tour will cover key religious sites including Ujjain, Dwarka, Somnath, Shirdi, Nashik, Pune and Aurangabad, returning on June 12.

The train will stop at multiple stations in Bihar—Hazaribagh Road, Koderma, Gaya, Rajgir, Bihar Sharif, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Ara, Buxar, Dildarnagar, and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Junction. Notably, if a minimum of 10 passengers register from Darbhanga, the route will include a halt there as well.

Pilgrims will be able to visit seven prominent Jyotirlinga temples including Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar (Ujjain), Nageshwar and Dwarkadhish (Dwarka), Somnath (Somnath), Trimbakeshwar (Nashik), Bhimashankar (Pune) and Ghrishneshwar (Aurangabad), in addition to Sai Baba’s temple in Shirdi.

Affordable Fare and Inclusive Facilities

The fare is structured into two categories:

  • Sleeper class (Budget): Rs 23,575 per person
  • 3AC class (Comfort): Rs 39,990 per person

IRCTC Eastern Region’s Chief Supervisor Sanjeev Kumar said the train is being introduced in view of summer holidays, with discounts of up to 35% for travellers.

The package includes hotel accommodations (AC/non-AC), vegetarian meals thrice daily, morning and evening tea, daily bottled water, and transfers in AC/non-AC buses. Each coach will be equipped with security guards, cleaners and tour escorts to ensure a comfortable and secure journey.
