ISKCON Patna Distributes Chhath Supplies to Needy in Devotional Ceremony
Patna: At Patna’s ISKCON temple today, on the auspicious occasion of Nahai Khay, the first day of Chhath festival, essential Chhath materials were distributed free of charge to those in need. In a ceremony marked by devotion and community spirit, temple president Krishna Kripa Das, chief guest L.N. Poddar, and Jagjot Singh from Patna Sahib’s Akal Takht, handed out the supplies to Chhath devotees.
Krishna Kripa Das addressed the gathering, reflecting on the significance of the Sun God in Sanatan Dharma. He highlighted the unique tradition of worshipping both the rising and setting sun during Chhath, emphasizing the balanced reverence for all forms of Bhaskar, the Sun God.
In a prayer to the Sun God, Das wished for the development, peace, and harmony of Bihar, underscoring the spirit of unity and devotion that defines the Chhath festival.
