Jan suraaj Party Petitions Patna High Court for BPSC Re-Exam After SC Rejection

Patna: Jan suraaj Party has filed a petition in the Patna High Court demanding a re-examination for the 70th BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) PT (Preliminary Test) exam. This comes after the Supreme Court rejected their earlier petition. The High Court will hear the case on January 15.

The controversy surrounding the BPSC PT exam stems from allegations of irregularities, including a question paper leak at one exam center. Jan suraaj Party, along with other protestors, have demanded the cancellation of the entire exam and a re-examination for all candidates.

Meanwhile, Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan suraaj Party, has been on a hunger strike for the past nine days in protest against the exam. Pappu Yadav, another prominent opposition leader, has called for a Bihar bandh on January 12 in support of the cause.

The BPSC, however, has maintained its stance and released the interim answer key for the exam. Candidates can submit claims and objections until January 16. The final answer key and result are expected to be released by the end of January.
