Patna: YV Giri, Senior Advocate and State Vice President of Jan Suraaj Party, addressed the press today regarding the writ petition filed by BPSC exam candidates in the Patna High Court. Giri explained that several candidates had reported irregularities in the conduct of the PT exam held on 13 December 2024, particularly citing the failure to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at multiple examination centers. These violations, according to Giri, suggest significant rigging, which could undermine the chances of deserving, talented students.
In light of these issues, Prashant Kishore and Jan Suraaj Party have taken a firm stand to protect students’ rights. Prashant Kishore has been on a hunger strike for the past nine days in support of the students. Giri confirmed that a writ petition had been filed in the Patna High Court, which has been accepted, with a hearing scheduled for January 15. Jan Suraaj Party has pledged to support the students throughout the legal battle, ensuring there is no financial burden on them.
Giri also appealed to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take swift action on this matter and listen to the students’ concerns. He urged the CM to investigate the alleged rigging in the BPSC exam and called for Prashant Kishore’s hunger strike to be ended immediately. Giri emphasized that a healthy and strong Prashant Kishore is crucial for the development of Bihar, urging students to request him to break his fast for the greater good of the state.
