Jan Suraaj to Celebrate Karpoori Thakur’s 101st Birth Anniversary at Miller School Ground

Patna: The Jan Suraaj Party announced a grand celebration for the 101st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur on January 24 at the Miller School Ground. Addressing a press conference, senior party leaders emphasized that the event would honor Karpoori Thakur’s vision and legacy, which they claim has been neglected over the past 35 years by leaders like Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav.

Former IAS officer N.K. Mandal stated that the Jan Suraaj Party is committed to following the principles of Karpoori Thakur and Mahatma Gandhi. He highlighted that the party’s ideology is rooted in equality and justice, reflecting Karpoori Thakur’s unfulfilled dreams for Bihar.

Former MLC Rambali Chandravanshi, the convenor of the Karpoori Jayanti Samaroh, said that thousands of people from all 534 blocks of Bihar are expected to participate in the event. Criticizing Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav for failing to realize Karpoori Thakur’s vision, he asserted that Jan Suraaj Party is the true heir to his legacy.

Party vice-president Lalan Yadav announced that in the upcoming assembly elections, Jan Suraaj will allocate tickets for 70 seats to candidates from extremely backward communities. Former MLA and state general secretary Kishore Kumar Munna accused those claiming to be Karpoori Thakur’s heirs of being involved in financial scams and reiterated the party’s commitment to fulfilling Thakur’s dreams of equality in wealth, land, and education.

The event will also include an appeal to the public to support Prashant Kishor’s Satyagraha movement, aimed at bringing transformative change to Bihar.
