Jan Suraj to Add 1Crore Founding Members; 50-55% of Bihar Seeks New Option: Kishore
Patna: Prashant Kishore, the convenor of the Jan Suraj campaign, announced in a press conference that the initiative aims to unite Biharis seeking a new political alternative. According to Kishore, a survey indicates that 50 to 55 percent of people in Bihar desire a fresh effort or option in the state’s political landscape. While these individuals are uncertain about which new party to support, they are convinced that current parties cannot bring the necessary improvements. If mobilized, this 50 percent would amount to 60 million people.
Kishore outlined the initial target of selecting 20 people from each block, totalling around 15,000 individuals across Bihar. However, the response has been overwhelming, with two to two and a half thousand people joining from every block. To streamline this momentum, a campaign to enroll founder members is being launched. Anyone interested in becoming a founder member is welcome to join, and Kishore believes that within the next six months, approximately 10 million people will sign up.
Reflecting on his 18 months of experience with the padyatra, Kishore reiterated that about two to two and a half thousand people are joining from every block. By the end of the padyatra, this number is expected to reach around 10 million founder members.
