Musicians from Spain and Denmark also added their expertise, blending Indian jazz, western blues, and traditional folk elements, making it a unique Bhojpuri music piece.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Samujjal Kashyap, “Gangasnan” was filmed in cultural hubs like Kashi and Prayagraj. The documentary captures the spiritual essence and cultural significance of the river Ganga, combining stunning visuals with the soulful composition.
Kalpana’s rendition revives Bhikhari Thakur’s immortal work with the collaboration of late folk artist Ramagya Ram and Arunava Deka. The song’s lyrics celebrate the Sanatan culture and pay homage to the Ganga’s sacred role in India’s heritage.
