Karnataka And Delhi Participants Shine In Civil Services Music And Dance Competition In Patna

Patna: The All India Civil Services Music, Dance, and Short Drama Competition 2024-25 entered its fifth day on Thursday at Urja Auditorium, Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna. Organized by the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation under the guidance of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Government of India, the competition showcased performances in four categories.
Winners In Classical And Western Instrumental
The Karnataka Classical Instrumental category featured seven participants, each given a 10-minute time limit to perform. Karthik Bhardwaj from Karnataka Secretariat secured the first position.
In the Karnataka Light Classical Instrumental category, Raghavendra Prasad, also from Karnataka Secretariat, claimed the top spot among five participants. Competitors had a five-minute performance window in this segment.
The Western Instrumental competition saw nine participants take the stage. Bhikhmchand Nirmalkar from Chhattisgarh Secretariat emerged as the winner, impressing the audience with his performance within the five-minute limit.
Delhi’s Monica Manchanda Wins Western Vocal Category
The final category of the day, Western Vocal, had nine civil servants from different states competing. Monica Manchanda from Delhi was declared the winner in this segment.
The stage transformed into a vibrant representation of India’s diverse musical heritage, with participants dressed in regional attire and presenting performances infused with local traditions. The audience responded with thunderous applause, celebrating the rich blend of music, dance, and artistic expression.
