Khan Sir Claims New Evidence Will Lead to BPSC Re-Examination

Patna: The controversy surrounding the 70th BPSC prelims in Bihar has taken a new turn, with renowned Patna- based teacher Faizal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, claiming he has concrete evidence that will compel the High Court to order a re-examination.

He has claimed that while there was previously no solid proof to support the demand for a re-exam, new findings suggest a major irregularity in the handling of question papers.

Allegations of Missing Question Papers

Khan stated that the exam was conducted on December 13 with three different sets of question papers. Standard procedure requires that unused question sets be deposited in the treasury. However, after a two-month investigation, it was discovered that question sets were missing from the treasuries in Nawada and Gaya.

Same Question Paper Used for Re-Examination

The issue escalated further during a re-examination at Bapu Examination Complex on January 4, which was conducted after reports of fraud affected 5,000 to 6,000 students. According to Khan, the same missing question paper from Nawada and Gaya was reused for the re-exam, instead of a fresh set.

This, he argues, led to discrepancies in pass rates—with only 6% of students clearing the exam on December 13, compared to a 19% pass rate in the January 4 re-exam.

 “Court Will Now Order Re-Examination”

Claiming this as a clear case of malpractice, Khan asserted, “Now that we have concrete evidence, the court will have no choice but to order a re-examination.” The matter remains under judicial review, and students await the High Court’s decision on whether a fresh exam will be held.
