Patna: The construction of the Patna ring road project is progressing steadily, with authorities preparing to acquire 186 acres of land across 12 villages in Maner and Bihta. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is expected to submit a formal proposal, after which the district administration will initiate the land acquisition process.

Greenfield Four-Lane Road Between Sherpur and Kanhauli

A 9 km long Greenfield four-lane ring road will be developed between Sherpur and Kanhauli as part of the broader project. Officials have already identified the required land, and a notification will be issued once NHAI approves the proposal. On Thursday, the District Magistrate (DM), along with other officials, conducted an inspection of the site.

Villages Affected by Land Acquisition

The land acquisition process will impact several villages in the Bihta and Maner zones:

  • Bihta Zone (79 acres): Wajidpur, Painal, Kanhauli, Parkhotimpur Kothi, Mustafapur, and Hiramanpur.
  • Maner Zone (107 acres): Mustafapur Mauli, Rasoolpur Bijagopal, Harshankarpur Narhanna, Rasoolpur Bijagopal Milki, Balua, and Santar.

The district administration has completed the land identification process and shared the details with NHAI for further action.
