Langat Singh College Prepares for New Postgraduate Session with Emphasis on Academic Excellence

Muzaffarpur: A formal meeting of the Heads of Departments at Langat Singh College was held under the chairmanship of Principal Professor Om Prakash Roy to discuss the commencement of the postgraduate session for 2024-2026. The principal confirmed that the admission process was nearing completion and that classes had already begun in several departments.
Professor Roy underscored the importance of student and parental cooperation in maintaining high academic standards. Stressing the college’s firm stance on attendance, he reiterated that students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance. Those failing to meet this requirement without a valid reason, he warned, risked cancellation of their enrolment.
Recognising the need for a structured introduction to college life, Professor Roy called for comprehensive induction programmes at both the departmental and college levels. These sessions, he noted, would familiarise students with the institution’s rich history and help instil a sense of belonging. He also encouraged departments to invite distinguished alumni to mentor and engage with students, believing that their insights would serve as a source of inspiration and guidance.
Reaffirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, Professor Roy assured faculty members that the administration was continuously working to enhance infrastructure and provide students with a conducive learning environment. The meeting included an assessment of current enrolment figures across postgraduate departments and an evaluation of preparations for course delivery.
Additionally, meticulous planning was undertaken for the upcoming induction session scheduled for April 5, with key decisions made to ensure its smooth execution. The meeting was attended by senior faculty members, including Professors Jayakant Singh, S.R. Chaturvedi, Rajiv Jha, Sunil Mishra, Sanjeev Mishra, and Shailendra Sinha, alongside Drs. Rajiv Kumar, Ardhendu, Reema Kumari, Alok Kumar, and Navin Kumar, as well as faculty members Rishi Kumar and Satyendra Kumar.
