Langat Singh College Prioritizes Research in New Postgraduate Session

Muzaffarpur: Langat Singh College has commenced classes for newly enrolled postgraduate students for the 2024-2026 academic session, with an induction programme set to run from March 27 to April 2. The initiative, directed by Principal Prof. Om Prakash Roy, aims to familiarize students with the institution’s history, facilities, attendance policies, and academic curriculum.
Prof. Roy emphasized the importance of integrating research into postgraduate studies, urging departments to balance theoretical instruction with practical research applications. He also outlined plans to establish research cells within all postgraduate departments and offer structured support for students preparing for the National Eligibility Test (NET). A college-wide welcome and orientation event for incoming students is also in the pipeline.
Addressing the ongoing on-the-spot admissions for remaining postgraduate seats, Prof. Roy called for a transparent and accountable process. He instructed departments to publicly disseminate real-time data on seat availability by subject and quota. Additionally, eligibility verification for quota-based admissions will be conducted at the departmental level before enrollment.
