LIC Agent Found Hanging in Nawada Home While Family Slept in Another Room

Nawada: A 42-year-old LIC agent was found dead in his rented house in Nawada’s VIP Colony on Saturday morning, with police suspecting suicide. The deceased, identified as Mukesh Kumar alias Pintu, was a resident of Sarkanda village in the Govindpur police station area.

According to family members, Mukesh had been working as an LIC agent for over a decade. On Friday night, his wife and daughter were sleeping in one room while he was in another. In the morning, his wife discovered him hanging and immediately informed the family, who then alerted the police.

City police arrived at the scene and sent the body to Nawada Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. “The initial investigation suggests it was a case of suicide. However, we are conducting further inquiries,” said Avinash Kumar, the officer in charge of the city police station.

Mukesh’s family stated that he had no known disputes or financial troubles, and he followed his routine diligently. He was one of five brothers, with property divisions already settled among them. The reason behind his apparent suicide remains unclear.
