Opposition Ruckus Over KK Pathak Issue Rocks Bihar Assembly

Patna: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Janata Dal United (JDU) unveiled its list of star campaigners on Thursday, marking a significant moment in its campaign strategy. Led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the roster includes key figures such as former national president Lalan Singh, national general secretary Sanjay Jha, parliamentary party leader in Rajya Sabha Ramnath Thakur, and state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha.

Notably absent from the list is JDU advisor KC Tyagi, indicating a shift in the party’s approach to its campaign lineup. The list, subject to alterations for different phases of the election, highlights the prominence of Nitish Kumar, who is set to feature prominently in all phases of campaigning. It is anticipated that the Chief Minister will address multiple public meetings within each Lok Sabha constituency, amplifying the party’s presence and message.

With the first phase of elections encompassing four Lok Sabha constituencies, the JDU, in collaboration with its allies like the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is gearing up for a joint campaign effort. Nitish Kumar’s participation is assured across these constituencies, where candidates from the BJP, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) are contesting.

The joint campaign efforts between the JDU and BJP, alongside other NDA constituents, will see the Chief Minister alongside the Prime Minister in key meetings. Plans for the joint campaign format are underway, underscoring the cohesive approach of the NDA alliance. Additionally, the star campaigners of the JDU will contribute to the NDA’s joint campaign endeavors, with flexibility to organize programs based on candidates’ demands.
