Man Dies by Suicide After Fight with Wife: Body Found Hanging in Bhojpur Village
Ara: A 32-year-old man was found hanging from a ceiling fan in Chakiya Anayit village of Bhojpur’s Udwantnagar police station area on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Ravi Yadav, reportedly died by suicide following a fight with his wife, who had left for her parental home the previous day. The discovery of the body caused panic in the locality.
Family members believe Ravi, who worked as a laborer, acted in anger. According to his nephew, Ranjit Kumar, the family had dinner on Wednesday night and went to bed as usual. On Thursday morning, Ravi’s family noticed that he hadn’t woken up. Upon peeking through his room’s window, they found him hanging from the fan hook.
The family broke open the door and brought Ravi’s body down before informing the local police. Authorities arrived at the scene, conducted preliminary investigations, and sent the body for post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital.
Ranjit further revealed that Ravi had a heated argument with his wife, Sumitra Devi, on Wednesday afternoon. Following the dispute, Sumitra left for her parental home, which allegedly led Ravi to take his life.
Ravi was the second among three brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife, son Shubham, and daughter Sreshti. The incident has left the family in deep grief, with relatives struggling to cope with the loss. Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
