Patna: Over 2,000 young jobseekers turned up for the second day of Bihar’s Mega Job Fair 2025, with more than 400 securing employment offers from participating companies, officials said.
The event, organised by the Bihar Skill Development Mission at the Dashrath Manjhi Labour and Employment Study Institute in Patna, drew 2,031 attendees on Thursday alone. The job fair, which runs until July 15, is aimed at connecting youth from across the state with recruiters from over 80 prominent companies.
In a bid to ensure accessibility, the organisers have arranged free transport for candidates, including dedicated pink buses for women. Many participants arrived from remote districts, having registered via QR code to take advantage of the employment drive.
Major firms such as L&T, Muthoot Finance, Zomato, Arvind Limited, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank and Barbeque Nation are among those offering positions at the event. The initiative also includes career counselling and guidance sessions to help young people align their skills with industry demands.
