MP Pappu Yadav Receives Death Threat, Security Tightened
Purnia: Independent MP from Purnia, Rajesh Ranjan, alias Pappu Yadav, has received another death threat, with the sender claiming he will be killed within 24 hours. A threatening WhatsApp message was sent to the MP’s personal number, stating, “We will kill you in 24 hours. Our preparations are complete. Our companions have reached very close to you. Even your guards will not be able to save you. Happy Birthday to you from Lawrence Bhai and his team. Enjoy your last day.”
The message originated from a Pakistani number, +923360968377, and included a 7-second video of a blast. The sender claimed to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following this threat, security at Pappu Yadav’s residence in Purnia has been intensified. Entry is now permitted only after thorough security checks. Despite the heightened risk, Pappu Yadav continues to remain in Purnia and interact with the public.
Reacting to the threat, Pappu Yadav stated, “I am meeting people despite these threats. The person who called said I escaped twice tonight. I am ready to die every time to save this country and its democracy. I will not back down at any cost against those dividing the nation. I am prepared to fight and die for this cause.”
The MP has faced threats in the past, but this latest warning has escalated the situation, prompting authorities to bolster his security. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of political figures and the growing audacity of such threats in the region.
