VIP Supremo Faces Security Withdrawal After Remarks Against Home Minister

Patna: VIP party supremo Mukesh Sahani finds himself at the center of controversy following his critical remarks against the country’s Home Minister, Amit Shah, as his Y Plus security detail, provided by the Center, was swiftly withdrawn within 12 hours of his statement. Confirmation of the security withdrawal came from VIP national spokesperson Devi Jyoti.

While no official statement has been issued by the Home Ministry regarding the security revocation, all security personnel assigned to Sahani have been removed. The decision comes despite Sahani being under Y Plus security since February 2022, based on intelligence reports.

Reacting to the removal of Sahani’s security, VIP’s national spokesperson, Devi Jyoti, questioned the implications of downgrading the security level, emphasizing that their protection is derived from the people of Bihar. Jyoti condemned what she termed as “dictatorial” actions and asserted the party’s commitment to championing the rights of the underprivileged.

Sahani’s comments, made at Patna airport, criticizing Amit Shah’s stance on the Mandal Commission, sparked political turmoil, drawing sharp reactions from BJP and JDU leaders who labeled him a “political novice.” The fallout escalated further when the central security forces assigned to Sahani’s protection were withdrawn later in the evening.
