Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025: Samastipur Students Triumph in Darbhanga Division Round

Darbhanga/ Patna: The Darbhanga division round of Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025 witnessed a gripping contest of sporting knowledge at Laheriasarai Auditorium, where Deepankar and Zaifi Jawaid of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Samastipur, emerged victorious. The Class 11 duo secured the top position in a highly competitive quiz.

Cindrella English School, Darbhanga, also made a strong impact, with Class 7 students Nyasha Shrivastava and Rishav Kumar finishing as runners-up, while Ruhi Kumari and Rutu Raj claimed third place. The event saw 13 teams—including district champions and wild card entries—compete in an intense written round, with the top six advancing to the on-stage finals.

The quiz was conducted by renowned sports writer and quiz master Aniket Mishra, whose experience includes covering three FIFA Men’s World Cups and one FIFA Women’s World Cup. A PhD holder from Delhi University, Mishra is the author of Know Thy Dhoni and 125 Years of the Olympics, bringing deep expertise and enthusiasm to the competition.

This was the first of nine division-level finals, with the next round scheduled for April 3 in Muzaffarpur, followed by competitions in Saran, Bhagalpur, Munger, Kosi, Purnia, Magadh, and Patna. The top three teams from each division will battle for the championship in the grand finale on April 17 in Patna.

District Education Officer Krishnanda Sada, District Sports Officer Parimal, and District Art and Culture Officer Chandan were present at the event, encouraging participants. As the competition progresses, it continues to ignite young minds across Bihar, fostering a culture of sports knowledge and intellectual excellence.
